Road Runner is the in-car software that I prefer. Open source. Winamp engine. Skinnable.
Currently available via touchscreen interface: MP3 player (23G worth), XM, GPS (Routis, fully integrates into RR), 802.11G (Web browser, file sync), Video, DVD, OBD-II. Audio is through a Creative Live USB external soundcard mounted behind the screen -> to a SHOND3 Aux adapter. Sounds great.
GPS Antenna is under the rear deck. (BU-353) reception is excellent. No need to put that one outside.
